Julie Nichols-Clements lives in Cambridge, ON with her husband, Johnny. Her first book series, The Jelly Jam Johnny books, were inspired by her nieces and nephews, and named after her husband who inspired the theme. Julie has begun a new series, also inspired by her nieces and nephews, which explores the mischief and adventure of a child’s imagination. The New Clothes series begins with My New Yellow Pants.
Becoming an author-illustrator has been a long journey for Julie. It all started in 2009 when her husband urged her to finally share her many stories with more than just her family. Her passion for writing and working with children is evident when she is reading at local schools. The animated, and fun-loving way in which she reads gives her a connection with her audience that makes her stories come alive.
